Who is 101CreditCounseling.com, L.L.C.?

101CreditCounseling.com is a Washington State non-profit and specializes in providing credit counseling for individuals who are considering bankruptcy. The founders of 101CreditCounseling.com have years of experience in serving the needs of the educational and financial sectors.

Our Mission at 101CreditCounseling.com is to provide our clients with financial knowledge and alternatives that impact them today, tomorrow, and the rest of their lives. We do this by 1) Obeying the law 2) Taking care of our clients 3) Taking care of our staff 4) Enhancing the Financial Education Industry.

101CreditCounseling.com is dedicated to assisting individuals who both meet and exceed the requirements of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCA). Under this legislation, individuals who file for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy on or after October 17, 2005, in most judicial districts, must complete a credit counseling course prior to filing bankruptcy.

Instructors and Qualifications:

Mark Walter

 

101CreditCounseling.com's primary financial education instructor is Mark Walter.  Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a bachelors degree in Financial Management. Mark has been counseling individuals on personal tax matters as well as managing a Nationwide Financial Management Course that teaches the basics of personal finance.  

Jennifer Walter

Jennifer is a certified instructor and has been educating clients as a Financial Management Course instructor for the last 4 years.  Jennifer feels strongly about the credit counseling industry, and strives to provide information that will fit the unique circumstances of his customers. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, running, and reading.

101CreditCounseling.com will not profit from any course of action it communicates to consumers.

Non-Profit Status:

As a non-profit corporation, our Board of Directors serve without any form of compensation for board services provided to 101CreditCounseling.com. 101CreditCounseling.com is a Washington State nonprofit corporation that is not currently seeking 501(C)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.

Bankruptcy Certificates:

The Bankruptcy Abuse and Prevention Act of 2005 requires an "entrance" and "exit" certification for all individuals filing bankruptcy.

101CreditCounseling.com does charge a onetime fee for certifications. These certification fees are the funds that support our programs and help 101CreditCounseling.com to achieve its stated Objectives above.
