101CreditCounseling.com Credit Counseling and Education, Inc. (hereinafter 101CreditCounseling.com) is an independent, Washington State non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide quality financial education. **101CreditCounseling.com is approved to provide credit counseling certificates that are required to file a bankruptcy case. If you are using 101CreditCounseling.com to get a certificate for the purpose of filing a bankruptcy case, please read the following information.

Attorney accounts are established for your convenience and if your attorney has a payment arrangement with us we may invoice that attorney for your course fee. 101creditcounseling.com does not participate in discount agreements or contracts with attorneys. If your attorney has an account with 101creditcounseling.com, your attorney will be invoiced the same amount you would pay as a client without an attorney. All publicly disclosed fees are applicable to all students.

Counselors

Counselors have agreed to maintain Professional Counseling Standards established in the CC-ED education program and in doing so have earned recognition as Certified Credit Counselors. Certifications granted from Credit Counselor Certification INC.

Your Credit Report

101CreditCounseling.com does not report any information to any credit reporting agency or bureau; therefore the use of 101CreditCounseling.com’s course and program will have no impact on your credit report. During the course of a credit counseling session 101CreditCounseling.com does provide clients information about alternatives based upon an individual’s financial situation. Some of these alternatives, which are services not provided by 101CreditCounseling.com, specifically debt management plans and the filing of bankruptcy, will affect your credit report.

Funding Received From Course Only

101CreditCounseling.com's source of funding is the fees it receives for Credit Counseling certifications and Financial Education certifications needed for the purpose of Bankruptcy cases. 101CreditCounseling.com does not take or receive funding from any creditor or lender.

Cost of Credit Counseling Certification

The cost of 101CreditCounseling.com's credit counseling certification is $14.95 per individual and $14.95 per couple.

Any discount given for 101creditcounseling.com is for the client's benefit only.

Tuition Waiver Information & Procedures

Services will be provided without regard to the client's ability to pay. 101CreditCounseling.com will waive the credit counseling fees for clients whose household income is less than 150% of the estimated poverty threshold for their applicable family size as published by the Bureau of the Census. If a client is receiving legal services pro-bono, if their sole source of income is disability and/or they can show hardship, 101CreditCounseling.com will also waive the credit counseling fees.

101CreditCounseling.com's Requirements for Credit Counseling

When you successfully complete 101CreditCounseling.com's requirements for credit counseling, you will receive a certification. The requirements for completion are as follows:

  1. You must complete 101CreditCounseling.com's Internet credit counseling program, fill in all of the requested information truthfully and as accurately as possible.
  2. You must complete a brief counseling session with one of 101CreditCounseling.com’s trained, certified credit counselors. You will be given instructions on how to complete your counseling session at the end of the course.

Other Disclosures:

The Agency does not pay or receive fees or other considerations for referrals. Course materials are provided through the Internet via an interactive learning module. The course can be accessed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week and 365 days a year. However, site support and credit counseling sessions by phone are limited to certain hours of operation 9:00am- 5:00pm PST Monday thru Friday (except some holidays).

Certificates for properly completed and reviewed counseling emails will be issued between 9 AM and 11 PM PST, Monday through Friday. On Sundays certificates will be sent before 11 PST.

Upon successful completion of the briefing or course, the approved Agencies will issue a certificate of completion to the client.

Special Note About Children: Children are not eligible to use our service and we ask that minors (under the age of 16) do not submit any personal information to us or use the service. 101CreditCounseling.com does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 16, and no part of the Web site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 16.

101CreditCounseling.com, LLC Privacy Policy

101CreditCounseling.com, LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation and is required to disclose the following information to all debtor clients prior to paying for this course: Important Categories of Information for you to know:

Information We Collect. There are several areas on the Web site where you may be asked to enter both personal and non-personal information. We DO NOT sell or share any personal information about you to or with any person or organization except (i) as authorized by you, (ii) to participating Agencies, (iii) as set forth herein, or (iv) as may be required by law or court order.
     (a) Information we receive from you via Submissions. To use 101CreditCounseling.com's services, when you come to the Web site you'll need to provide personal information such as your name, phone number, Partial Social Security Number, e-mail address, possibly income, information regarding assets and liabilities and other financial information.
   (b) Technical information we collect. In order for 101CreditCounseling.com to ensure that we are providing the best possible consumer experience on the Web site, we collect and track certain user information. When you visit the Web site, our Web server may send a cookie to your computer. This cookie stores a limited amount of information about your site visit. The cookie tracks aggregate information on how our site is being used, including session counts, navigation patterns, pages visited, etc. These cookies, however, do not store any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address or phone number as you browse the site.
 
When you complete a Submission, we store your cookie identification in our system. This cookie allows our site to recognize you when you return. 101CreditCounseling.com also utilizes Web Logs to track aggregate information about how our site is being used. Web Logs track anonymous user information, including the number of visitors to the Web site, operating systems, Internet Provider addresses (if publicly available), and browser type. Unlike cookies, Web Logs are maintained only on 101CreditCounseling.com servers and do not store or place anything on the user's computer.
 
If you come to the Web site from an online banner ad, an anonymous identification number may be passed to the Web site. This information cannot be used to gather any personally identifiable information about you. It will only allow us to track the overall effectiveness of our online advertising, marketing and banner advertisement campaigns.
       (c) Information from surveys. You may have the option of completing an online survey at the Web site from time to time. Participation in surveys is completely voluntary and it is your choice whether or not you wish to disclose your personal information to us in connection with any such survey.
       (d) Information from the customersupport@101CreditCounseling.com section of the Web site is provided that you may contact 101CreditCounseling.com. Participation in this area is completely voluntary and it is your choice whether or not you wish to disclose your personal information to us.
       (e) Information collected on other sections of the Web site. 101CreditCounseling.com may, from time to time, make various resources available to you at the Web site to help educate you about the bankruptcy and/or credit counseling industry. At times we may collect personal information in connection with providing such services.

How your information is used. We use the information you provide in your Submission or other submission of information to provide the Trustee Board of Debtor Education with the appropriate information to confirm you have completed the required debtor education course.

In addition, 101CreditCounseling.com may disclose account or other personal information when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with 101CreditCounseling.com's rights or property, other Web site users or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

Altering Information You Submit through The 101CreditCounseling.com Web Site. You may be able to review and change personal information in an active account. Contact us at customersupport@101CreditCounseling.com for any such requests.
(a) Deleting your information. Federal and state regulations may require that we store completed Submissions for various periods of time. In order to comply with these regulations, we may be unable to delete information from our databases.


Security

101CreditCounseling.com uses extensive and sophisticated secure technology to protect your data and transmissions between you, 101CreditCounseling.com and Agencies participating in the Web site. Transmission between browsers and our web server is implemented using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. This technology requires an SSL-capable browser. Although 101CreditCounseling.com has taken these measures to ensure that your personal information is delivered and disclosed only in accordance with your instructions, 101CreditCounseling.com cannot and does not guarantee that the personal information you provide will not be intercepted by others and decrypted.

Changes to Privacy Policy: If we make a change to our Privacy Policy in the future that will affect how we treat your information, we will notify you by e-mail of the change to the extent such change is material. Otherwise, we will post such change at the Web site, and such change will be deemed to be effective 10 days from the date of such posting. In that instance, your ability to opt out of the new policy will be determined by applicable laws.
